As you may have seen in news reports, Arjun Ghose, (aka Sayantan “Sy” Ghose) was involved in a terrible incident on the night of June 28th that led to his arrest the next day. What you may not know from the media reports is that Arjun was held at gunpoint that night and believed he would be killed if he did not defend himself. He has steadfastly maintained his innocence of the charges against him and asserts that the physical and other evidence in the case will exonerate him of those charges.

On the night of the reported incident, Arjun had gone to the home of his ex-wife to visit a little girl on her 11th birthday, a girl he considers to be his daughter. He went that night with a package of gifts consisting of music CDs and a devotional book. Arjun came with peace, but was greeted by violence. Arjun has been erroneously characterized by others involved in the incident as a stalker or as someone who came with violent intent. This is not true.

Three separate Attorneys that have reviewed the case are confident that they can establish that Arjun acted in self-defense. However, Arjun still needs donations so he can retain an attorney for a fair trial and a strong defense.
