Community Garden in rural Kentucky

We are starting a community garden project and need help with the startup cost to build the plots. The land has been donated so we need materials, dirt, fertilizer and plants to get started. We live in a very rural community with a median income level of $23,000 a year. Most low income families living in the downtown area do not have access to fresh veggies nor do they have the knowledge to start a garden. We want to educate the small community and build better community relations in the process. Giving back while teaching is our goal in the hopes to change the way people eat and live.
