Community Empowerment

My name is Kairu Kamau and am currently raising money to empower my community in Kikuyu, Kenya. My goal is to create job opportunities for the youth and provide shelter for the homeless in the area.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic Kenya has been hit hard and the economy has not been spared. Alot of people have lost their jobs resulting to increase in depression among the Youth reaching an all time high, as well as increase in refugees.

The funds will be used to lease a piece of land in the area which will be use to establish a self sustained camp for the people. Majority of the funds will go to drilling a borehole, Acquire a water pump,supplies and a storage tank.Water is a important factor since i plan to establish a car wash business and a small farm in the camp to provide revenue and help sustain the community living there.
I believe that everyone deserves access to shelter and water.
Am looking forward to working with a N.G.O in the country once i get the ball rolling.
