“Open!!! Open!!! Open!!!, else we break in”Those were the words used by robbers while breaking into the house of Ms. Catherine, a mother of 3!

While still struggling to find her phone as she makes a mouth alarm, the bad guys are already in! And after collecting whatever they could, Ms. Catherine received several kinds of assaults in front of her very own daughters.

After a while, The pain of starting again and trauma caused was real.

Unfortunately, Catherine is not alone, Uganda Police revealed a 60,000 increase in house break-ins and related crime rate as of 2018.

However, not all hope is lost, Africa has for a long time had a culture of protecting each other in community based on trust of neighborhoods. Yunga is using technology to leverage on this culture to provide security at a low cost with a high rescue response time.

Yunga a local rescue digital network for neighbors The community members are organized into that allows them to neighbors, security agencies that allow them to communicate with each other in real time in case an attack or emergency in real time.

The community members are organized into groups. Each member (household) is connected to a Yunga network. By tap of a button from a Yunga device, all your neighbors and police (law enforcement agencies) are notified and called to your rescue instantly in case of an attack or emergency.

Help us connect the most affected communities in Uganda, Help us Assemble devices at a very low cost affordable to many vulnerable households in Nansana Uganda currently most affected!
