COMMON RESIDENCE LIFELONG FRIENDS

We are a group of friends seeking funding for a communal living project in our home town.

There is a large ruin (an old nursing/rehab home, amongst others in the area we live in that were popular in the 70's for the good air of these mountains) which has come onto market. It is one of the rare opportunities that become available at a price that could be feasible for me, my wife, most of our friends and many of our generation in the current state of our jobs/country's politics/banking and debt policies.

A small group of us hope to turn this building into a few apartments, common areas and spaces available for courses, conferences and clinics.

But above all to RAISE our children TOGETHER in a place respectful of Earth, in a garden and house that will see them grow up together and us face the challenges without a lifelong sentence that a mortgage would mean should we each do it on our own.

We are all capable handymen/women, I being a farrier, my wife a jeweller, and our friends artists, painters, carpenters... as well as aware that managing to agree among so many may challenge our friendships. It's a risk we are willing to take. Our you willing to help us make it happen?
