Seriously Daniel is an independent South African Singer, Songwriter and rapper. He’s worked alongside the likes of and is backed by artists such as Benny Afroe, Miguel Pregueiro and Austin Lurring ‘GVBRIEL’ who’s music and performance has been enjoyed by many people across the globe.

He’s a truly versatile performer incorporating different genres and styles of music in his songs and projects. About The Album: Colouring Outside The Lines

Fast forward to 2020, Seriously Daniel is making a come up as an artist in China and has performed on big stages such as Jiangsu Grand Theatre in Nanjing, the biggest theatre in the province of Jiangsu, and is in the process of producing his newest album ‘Colouring Outside The Lines’.

Colouring Outside The Lines is a personification of breaking some rules and being a child again. I focused on enjoying the process of making the music and writing the lyrics. Some concepts came to me as just cool ideas, catchy hooks that I know millennials love in their music, whilst other songs are really honest and emotional.

I talk about working so hard in a 9-5 job that I really need a holiday. I have an old school feel to one of my songs, perfect for added romance at weddings, that I actually wrote for my sister when she got married as well as a song focusing on equality of race and ethnicity that I wrote when there was a lot of Xenophobic violence in my country (Follow link above). Upon successful funding and either way whether I reach my intended goal or a little less or more (which would be great btw) I promise to deliver:

What do you need the funds for Seriously Daniel?

I’m going to be raising $10k to cover the PR and Marketing campaign during and after the release of the album. I will also be shooting music videos for the top songs, those that the listeners love most. These videos will be done by industry professionals. As you may know, getting your music heard as an independent artist can be difficult, so I have been pitching and giving previews to playlist curators around the world, however submissions to the top playlists have a cost and those are not always cheap, so I will be investing in playlisting.

Radio Airplay is very important, in my country though there are people fortunate to have subscriptions to apps like Spotify and iTunes, some people just don’t, others don’t see the need if the radio plays their favourite jams each day. I want to ride those airwaves especially for them. These days, radio stations only play your song if you have the money for the right time slot. I will also be pitching for stations in the united states to really get good global exposure.

I know some people, who’d like to keep it classic and have a physical CD, “the physical proof beats anything on the net.” They say. This would be a great thing to have in your car if your aux doesn’t work and you don’t have Bluetooth, it’s also a great gift for fans and something physical to sign with an Autograph one day – Give me that opportunity – I’d be so honoured.

Going home for a tour is a definite vision. I plan to rock my hometown and the cities around it. The main costs involved would be travel in the country and the payment for the crew that travels with me to gigs. The cameraman, management team and marketing personnel who is doing my PR campaign..

I’d also like to make some merchandise to compliment my brand and to have available for sale to fans and followers at live shows. This will also be part of the rewards given after success of this campaign.
