Hi. I'm Joanna, a single mother with a 17 year old daughter. I'm trying to raise $12,000 or more for my daughter, Lanie's college tuition fee for her next school year. She will be a senior high this coming September (2017) and will graduate on June of 2018. Then, will be attending college a couple of months later, in August of 2018. My daughter is a straight A's student. I cannot afford to pay for her college tuition fees, dorm's rent, books, computer or laptop, weekly bus fare, and other school expenses. Even if I apply for financial aid or student loan for her college education, it's still not enough to pay for all her expenses. I've been unemployed for more than 7 or 8 years now. I could not find a job after graduating from school as a Medical office administrator (May of 2009) due to lack of work experience in a medical field because most employers require me to have at least 3 years of work experience. Also, I have some medical problems that prevented me from seeking for a permanent job to support my daughter financially. We're living in my mother's home and she's only receiving less than $350 of Soc. Sec. benefit. I wanted to get my own place but I could not afford it. I can't even buy my daughter some basic things she needs here at home or for school. Most of the things that we have here at home were just donations from my relatives like used clothes and shoes. I honestly don't know what would happen to us when my mom passes away. God forbid. We almost lost our home twice or thrice due to so many unpaid bills or debts. Anyways, my daughter wanted to be a computer programmer and that would take her 4 years in college. Financial aid only pays about half of the student's tuition fees and the rest will be paid out of my pocket but, where would I get that kind of money?. I do not know if I can apply for student loan for my daughter because I, myself, have a default student loan and my credit history is bad and I'm unemployed as well. Time goes by so fast so I started this campaign now to plan ahead for my daughter's education/future to achieve her goals in life. Education is the most important thing that I can give to my daughter. So, praying that someone with a good heart like you would be generous enough to help me send my daughter to college next year. I would really appreciate any amount you can afford to share or help for my daughter's college tuition fees and other expenses for next school year. Thank you and God bless.
