College Tuition

My name is Fırat Uzel and I am 21 years old and currently a student at the University of Sakarya in the Business School. It is my third year at the University and I hope to become an Accountant. Before I went to college, I backed by people during my high school education because of my family's financial situation. I had to work all the time to make money to fund myself.

I was also excited to begin a new chapter in my life and begin college. However, it was also a huge concern for my parents. They wanted me to study in the same city but after I took the University exam and passed with a good degree, I had to move to another city in Turkey to start College. Because University of Sakarya's Business School is one of the best University in Turkey and it is about to get Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accreditation.

This program is teaching in English and for last year of the bachelor program, the University of Sakarya sends its students to Leeds Becket University to finish the program. However, my university does not provide any financial assistance or scholarship for its students.

In my department at the University, I am the second successful student with 3,5 GPA over 4. I got honor and high honor certificates during my education at the University of Sakarya. Which is why I got close to my dreams to continue my education at Leeds Becket University. Otherwise, I will have to finish my education life. This puts me in a stressful situation.

My parents are currently financially unstable as they are trying to figure out how to pay back some loans. The money I raise only can be used to help to cover my needs in the United Kingdom.

I am in urgent need of help from anyone who gives no matter how big or small the donation; anything helps. In hopes of continuing my education and pursuing my dream of becoming an accountant, I need your help. I want to thank, appreciate, and God bless everyone who contributes any donations that will be given to help me.

Not wanting to stop me from continuing my study, my father worked day and night and overloaded himself with loans to afford my needs. Despite the desperate need for a time of bereavement. Not to let his effort be wasted. Unfortunately, my father was unable to support me anymore from the end of June 2019 and I had to figure out ways on my own to afford my living and tuition for the remaining semesters.

I am always minimizing my living expenses as much as possible and searching for work opportunities. With your help, even I can start my education at the Leeds Becket University, I will have to work in the United Kingdom. However, working hours for foreigner students are limited over 20 hours in a month. So, all the over donations will be helping me to cover my living expenses. Even though the stressful days weakened me physically and mentally over time, I tried to step out of my situation and serve with what I have now.
