College Tuition

Hello everyone!

My name is Laurence and I am currently a Sophomore in college. September 24, 2012, I took my first step in Seattle Pacific University. I was so determined to to get out of Hawaii for college and it finally happened, I was very excited. I wanted to have bigger opportunities in life in order to support myself and my family. Having to meet new people, experiencing a new place, having fun in college, having freedom, and to figure out what I what to do with my life was the best part of my first year of college. Little did I know, my life was about to turn a complete 180 on my Freshman year of college. I grew up on so many ways, met wonderful people, found God, and found my purpose in life.

I wanted to continue my studies in SPU for four years. But with it being a Christian private school, it doesn't come cheap. I solely depend on financial aid to attend college. This year, tuition went up and financial aid went down. My parents did not go to college in the US, therefore I am first one in the family. They are also struggling financially and I don't want to further their burden by asking for money. I learned the value of money at an early age. There's still a $10,000 difference between my tuition and the financial aid I received. I hope to earn at least half of it here and the rest, I will have to take out more loans.

Any amount will surely help, and I promise you it will go to a great cause. I am planning to apply for the Nursing program this year at SPU and hopefully the money you and I invested in will pay off! Thank you for your generosity!
