Hello! We are a group of students at the College of Europe in Bruges and we are passionate about making a positive difference in society, however we can. We're running the Bruges half-marathon on 21 October 2018 in aid of BXL Refugees, a Belgian charity which helps rebuild the lives of those who have been force to leave their countries. We'd really appreciate any donations, whether large or small!
Here are some of our stories:
Raiyan (UK): I made a New Year's Resolution last year to help with the homeless, and ran my first half-marathon in Manchester to raise money for them. This year, I want to keep it up and not lose momentum, as I really believe that charity is a neglected and vital way of making the world a better place! I am happy to be running for BXL Refugees this time, which provides essential support to refugees where I am currently living in Belgium. Thanks for donating!
Johan (Sweden): I have never done a half-marathon before. I now find myself in the situation of having signed up for doing two. Why, you might wonder? I will run to raise awareness and try to help BXL Refugees, which provides essential support to refugees in Belgium. I think it is a good opportunity to combine a challenging and fun experience, with something important and rewarding. Thanks for donating!
