Campaign Story
Hi! I am Hoo Jian Li, currently an Undergraduate at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) studying Engineering Product Development.
I have been actively making since young, ranging from robotics competitions (national and international) to projects in university. I have some of my work available for viewing in my portfolio here.
In early 2017, I applied for the SUTD Technology Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP) and was accepted. I was extremely happy to be given the opportunity to be part of this programme. STEP is an integrated 4.5-year programme which culminates in a Bachelor of Engineering, with a major in one of the three engineering pillars (I am currently in the Engineering Product Development Pillar) and a Master of Science in Technology Entrepreneurship. Being part of STEP gives me the exposure and opportunity to not only learn about entrepreneurship in UC Berkeley and Zhejiang University's (ZJU) School of Management, but also global perspectives and doing business in the East and West. More info on STEP can be found here. I have also included my acceptance letter in the gallery for reference.
I have decided to turn to crowdfunding as I found it a more creative and flexible way to raise funds for the fees for STEP amidst a busy schedule. With my skills and knowledge in design, fabrication and electronics, I am looking at making rewards for donors! I am currently working on some rewards, ranging from creative Thank You cards to a digital Twin-reflex Camera(it is a Raspberry Pi Point-and-Shoot camera with a twin reflex camera outer body) assembled by me! Do check back on what rewards I have in store!

All the best!
Updates on Desktop Organizer
Update posted by Jian Li Hoo at 04:25 pmBelow are images of the Desktop Organizer. It is made from MDF, giving it a very smooth surface on the top and bottom after applying some finish and sanding. It is able to hold a standard 7.5cm x 7.5cm post-it pad, up to 4 pens and pencils and some name. . . . .
Updates on Twin Reflex Camera!
Update posted by Jian Li Hoo at 08:44 pmI have started looking at components online and seeing how I fit them into this awesome twin reflex camera body. Took out some of the internal mechanisms that will not be used. Used a masking tape to mask and mark the areas which may be cut out.

Yo Bro, Just wanted to say it's very noble of you to pay back your relatives even though you deserve every single penny to attend this programme. If the school could see you the way I do they would be foolish not to invest and sponsor you for this trip. Here for you always man, this isn't much but I am happy to help you in any other way possible. Maybe can help with making the gifts and stuff. Here for you always bro. Man's not hot.
Bro, Jia you :)
