I am a Moroccan student, dreaming to continue my studies in Computer Science in US.
Since I received a travel scholarship last year from The New York Academy of Sciences, and I attended the GSA summit where I mingled with bright minds, from all around the world and expertise, I realized how much living in US will brighten my future, I just knew that I will be given the chance to have a quality education that I need to develop myself and my community.
Indeed, during the summit I wasinvited to represent Morocco for the first time in Women and Girls in Science conference in United Nations Headquarters, also I had the chance to co-create women in science platform that was launched recently in United Nations Headquarters. As well as I had the honor to have my introducing video represented during the launch ( Please find me during the following minutes 27:36 and 28:06-30:23)
With these achievements in hand, I believed that I had a good chance in getting admitted to a US university, thus I started my application. After, overcoming the application process I thought that I will finally relax .To my surprise, I still had to pay for the CSS profile fees, the SAT and IELTS score submitting fees as well as the application fees which resulted in 350$, and I am out of money !
As for my family, they cannot afford this amount of money in less than a month, knowing that both my elderly parents are unemployed and our revenue as a six member family is 250$ per month which barely covers our needs, Find here government issued documents testifying our family circumstances.
The deadline for sending my CSS profile as well as my SAT and IELTS is 15th January which puts me in a critical situation; without these fees years of hard work and savings will evaporate in days...
Your help will give me the chance to receive that " Congratulations" letter!
