IgA nephropathy is a chronic kidney disease. It progresses over 10 to 20 years, and it can lead to end-stage renal disease. It is caused by deposits of the protein immunoglobulin A (IgA) inside the filters (glomeruli) in the kidney.
My daughter Coleen (5 years old) was diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy and the doctor is requesting for a ct scan guided biopsy for a safer biopsy procedure since she's just 5 years old and after that she will undergo through 3 to 6 months "chemo like" therapy. We can't proceed with the chemo without biopsy I just need help. We are open to Any recommendations.
