Cold storage Warehouse to stop Fruits and Vegetable Waste during this Corona Pandemic.

Kenya Horticulture Farmers' organization KHFO, Cold storage Warehouse is a third party logistics provider (3PL) for cold chain facilities and transport. It is Kenya's first cold storage facility, that has been setup to solve Fruit and vegetable waste during this Corona Pandemic among many people. Post harvest losses associated with Poor handling of these delicate produce and lack of immediate/ direct market are the major attributes to these crops Wastage. A great percentage of these important products are being wasted in huge volumes due the transport hindrances resulted by the cessation of movement as a result of Covid-19 outbreak. The solution to this great challenge is what KHFO is pursuing by putting in place cold storage Warehouses at 1. farm level and 2. At the Market where the end consumer is.
