A great big hello to everybody out there!

Hi, my name's Jay. I'm currently running a startup which I've bootstrapped from the beginning and... I'm a self taught coder.

Yes, we've all heard about the hype of this internet era and the perks of being a coder. I learned to code not because I needed to but more so that I didn't want to work for anybody else ever again.

The reason I'm starting this campaign is to empower kids from the lesser privileged regions around me with the skill that would brighten their future.

If you look closely, there still is much poverty ALL around us (Indonesia, Malaysia, and yes... even Singapore).

Coding as a FREE-DOM language is only applicable to those who have accessibility to the net. Plus a computer. In order for coding to really be liberating, we first need to get the basic peripherals into the hands of these children. After which, someone to show those children that something miraculous can be made out from just typing off the keyboard.

I realise I ain't no Mark Zuckerberg, nor Bill Gates nor Steve Jobs but I do hope you'd contribute to this cause.

Here's towards a brighter future!
