Coco Urgently Needs Your Help!

Please Help Coco the Paralyzed Cat to Get Her Training Wheels

For more than 12 years, beneficiary Tanya Singh from New Delhi, India has been feeding, rescuing, and sterilizing stray cats and dogs who would otherwise be suffering on the streets. She is currently feeding 35-40 stray cats and dogs plus boarding 20 cats with various traumas and disabilities in her home.

Coco was handed over to Tanya’s rescue by Ashish Singh from Model Town North Delhi on May 3, 2020. Coco was only a kitten when a dog caught her by the spine. She did not have any fractures but she did have spinal cord trauma, severe muscle injuries and nerve compression. Tanya immediately put her on painkillers and injectable steroids. Coco began daily laser and physiotherapy treatments on May 4, 2020 for a month to improve her chances of walking again. Tanya has been paying a daily rate of 2000 INR (Indian Rupee which translates to $26.80 USD for Coco’s physiotherapy treatments for the past 6 months.

Although Coco has improved almost 50% she has been dragging her legs for 5 months and because of this her spine is curving to the left. If she doesn’t get training wheels soon her spine will permanently curve to the left and she will never regain mobility in her legs or be able to walk again. Tanya really needs your help to get her training wheels and correct her spine and mobility so she can walk, run, and play with her back legs for the first time.
