Raising funds for Cochlear Implantation

Cyle Gabriel has been diagnosed with profound hearing loss in both ears. Because of this, I am pleading to you for help to get our angel cochlear implants in order to help him hear. OUR STORY

It was the 24th day of October 2015 when our third child, Cyle Gabriel, was born. We gave him the name “Gabriel” as we found this to be fitting for a handsome and precious boy like him, whom we consider to be our own little angel from above. Three months of joyous moments passed, everything was going well with our sweet boy, until one day, when we noticed something different. It seems that our little angel doesn’t respond to sound and doesn’t get startled by loud noises that are too loud even for adults.

At first, we shrugged off this thought, as newborn tests were all positive. What came next though was something we were not prepared for. July 6th of this year, the day the doctor told us that our little boy has profound hearing loss in both of his ears. What’s more, he could not use any normal hearing aids; he has been advised to have cochlear implant surgery. Devastated by this news, we then decided to pour all of our energy as a family into educating ourselves on his condition. With the support of our kind doctors, we are now focused on how to help him get these implants, which will help him develop his speech and language and together grow normally with his peers. However, these all come at a hefty price, and we simply do not make enough to be able to cover the whole cost of this surgery.

As parents, we want our children to experience, enjoy and love life in its entirety. Our little one may have only one sense missing, but there is a lot more that he may not be able to discover should we just let it happen. With this, we need your support in raising funds for our little Gabriel. Any amount will be of much help as implants in both ears cost a total of $ 62,000. With your love, together, we know our little angel Gabriel will be able to experience what it’s like to hear.
