Co School Lunch Debt

School is

the first social forum that children enter on their own. By assuring

that every child has a meal, we affirm equal personhood. No child should

go hungry, and mealtime should not bring shame with it.

Inspired

by the work of other individuals who are directly tacking school lunch

debts in districts around the country, Hilary Cato Stabb and Will

Brumley decided to begin this campaign by targeting some of the poorest

school districts in the US. The size of Jackson County’s debt is small,

but it’s out of reach for the residents. Together, we can eliminate

their debt, put all the children of Jackson County on equal footing in

the lunchroom, and make sure young minds are energized and empowered!
