They say that there's nothing more rewarding to see your child smiling and healthy all the time. Looking at her big smile makes me fight hard to provide for her as a single mum.

I’ve been a work at home mom and we've been in this situation for a long time. Seeing her happy is all I have. We believe that God never fails to give us strength.

But a simple check-up became devastating news for us and it’s why I’m asking for your help today.

Born July 11,2009 when I saw her big and lovely smile my world changed because of her.

Kirsten Violet is a very smart, jolly, energetic, sweet and loving 7 year old. She has never showed any sadness and when I have problems she says “I love you mommy even if it's just you and me it's okay cause we love each other, I will always take care of you as you always do for me”.

On a Daily basis she is a very active kid loves to play with barbie and Lego as well as watch her favourite channel Disney Junior. Because of her asthma she doesn't go out much and the heat can cause attacks or even nose bleeds.

In Feb 2015 she started having nose bleeds on a daily basis. We had it checked and it was likely just because of the heat here in Manilla and it should go away as she gets older. But as a mom I was bothered by this and that she seemed to have a fever every other day.
So, I had her checked again at Philippine children’s Medical Centre and the Doctor suggested a blood test. We received results the next day, her white blood cells count was not normal so then to a haematologist and an oncologist. By now it had been a lot of doctors near the PCMC as well.

We also went to St.Lukes, Makati Medical Centre and Capitol med. She had an MRI, CT Scan and Biopsy. Without a Health card is very difficult and expensive but of course as a mom I will do everything for her to become well.

Devastating news, my beautiful girl has Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). My world crashed when I heard. I never thought I would hear that. I cried so loud and my daughter was just beside me and she said "Mommy I know I'm sick, please don't cry.Let's pray that I will be well soon". She kissed me and said “God will never give me this illness if I can't handle it Right Mom?”. She was giving me more hope my legs are shaking.

I was working 3 jobs baking, teaching English on line and working as a Virtual assistant was helping but it was not enough. With blood transfusion, chemotherapy, meds and blood works and from time to time she was confined at the hospital due to different problems.

I have been very lucky to find a full-time job with an Australian company – Enva. They are a very caring company and often help people in Australia with free financial advice for people with cancer. For me they have paid for mine and my daughters health care and gladly give me paid time with my daughter when I need it. I can handle the daily chores with her and I work as hard as I can.
Her therapy and blood transfusion cost me from 50,000-70,000 Pesos ($1,500 - $2,000AUD) plus meds which we need to battle with for 8-10 months. Friends and family are helping me and I have survived so far. A friend of mine told me that gofund is a good way to reach out to people with a good heart. As a single mom who doesn't want to disturb anybody it is hard to ask for help but I will do everything to have my daughter survive this journey thru CML.

I am knocking thru your hearts to please help me through my journey with Kirsten's Leukemia. I am deeply thankful for all your prayers and help for my Daughter.
Seeing her bleed daily, vomiting and sometimes she doesn't eat because all she feels is pain. I would take her place for her to be better.
Her words are “Mommy I can do this. God gave me this situation because I am a strong girl. let's Pray mommy I know he will answer our prayers and I can have my “Elsa” Hair again.”
