The goal of this campaign is to obtain a complete and concise collection of items that will allow me to fully indulge in my DIY vaping hobby by mixing my own e-liquid and building my own coils, while using this on a device that affords me some functionality which I currently lack. Now I understand that to some this might seem like a frivolous pursuit, yet I urge you to consider my motivations behind this indulgence.

First of all, there is the creative outlet afforded by the do-it-yourself aspect involved in this, akin to that which is enjoyed by those who like cooking or woodworking; it's experimenting, it's creating, it's making something you can be proud of with your own two hands.

Second, there are long term financial benefits in being able to produce the consumable and disposable components of vaping yourself, and not being continuously dependent on costly commercially produced products.

Finally, it will greatly improve the overall quality of the experience. Just like the warmth and depth of a home cooked meal cannot be recreated at a drive through window; the quality and tailored functionality of a hand made fishing lure can't be achieved by a mass producing factory, so too there is a richness of experience involved in vaping that is only attainable through a hands-on engagement with the variables involved.

To be clear, this is NOT a better health campaign to help me quit smoking, even though that may be one of the secondary effects.

This is NOT an "improve my life" kind of gig, where this will bring about some kind of social or spiritual enrichment, even though the pursuit of a DIY hobby will impart a certain amount of zen (not to mention the joy my wife would experience when I finally stop watching vape reviews and compiling imaginary shopping carts online).

The purpose of this campaign is quite simply put, a selfish one. I do not need these things, I want them, albeit for reasons a bit more complex than mere self-indulgence.

For those of you who are curious about what exactly it is that I wish to obtain, it is basically a mod kit, an RTA, batteries and charger, DIY coiling kit and supplies, and some DIY E-liquid goodies. If I manage to raise any money, I will be uploading progress reports and pictures as purchases are made, and for those who share this interest of mine, I would be happy to supply a detailed breakdown of the items I wish to obtain and why it is I have settled on these particular items.

Should I end up with more money than I need, I will put that into extra wire and juice, for a "vape it forward" kind of campaign, where I will try and send some handmade coils and e-liquid to a couple of people each month (only locally, unfortunately), who need something to see them through till payday.
