Give the Gift of hearing!
Khethiwe Madi asked our audience “What if all of you could NOT hear and I am the only one who can hear, who is the one with the disability?”
Fifteen ambitious climbers, which includes seven of our team members who are from the deaf community, will be tackling Mount Kilimanjaro to fulfil our shared vision of making a difference in our communities. We have decided to put our lives on the line by climbing one of the highest and most dangerous mountain peaks in the world to raise awareness and to alleviate the daily challenges our deaf community faces.
Our Vision
1. To create an awareness of the daily challenges the deaf face.
2. To bridge the gap between the hearing and the deaf communities in Africa.
3. To raise funds for cochlear implants and hearing aids for children born deaf.
