The Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training

My name is Miriam. I am from Kenya, I hold an MSc. Climate Change and Sustainability from Brunel University London. Currently, I run a platform which advocates for climate change risks detection, mitigation, adaptation strategies and policies integration. I would like to attend a Training in Las Vegas on 'Climate Reality Project'.

I received an invitation letter to attend the training, but i am not in a position to raise funds to cater for my accommodation and transport costs. I am determined to focus my efforts on fundraising for the training from well wishers since my organization is very new and has no registered resources.

I am currently working on two social innovative enterprises managed to uplift marginalized women and youth communities and as a strategy to adapt on harsh climate change impacts in the area. These two enterprises are aimed at creating employment and mitigating climate change impacts. Mangoes and honey value addition. These enterprises requires research and continuous learning to perfect the products. I would appreciate if you consider me in your upcoming conferences, workshops, and training's to make these a success.

We achieve this through knowledge and skills transfer to rural and semi-urban farmers and business owners. Mentor and motivate the members through creating a platform of networks and market linkages. We work with clients to create practical strategies that enhance markets and communities through adaptation to climate change. We have been on the front line in offering alternative agriculture strategies. CCRI focus is on generation of immediate benefits while solving problems for future risks.
