Hello,

As some of you know I am going to Africa in August 2018 to volunteer in the local village of Busua in a local village with up to 300-400 children. This is an amazing opportunity and one that I feel very privileged to be a part of. I will be volunteering through a company called 'The Mighty Roar' who are a fantastic team of people who enable people like me to have such an experience. My role over there will mean that I work with the local teachers out there who I will support with teaching, before taking on some of my own classes with the children. I will be teaching the children English, Maths, Reading, Music, Art and PE, as well as being able to take them out to learn in the outdoor environment.

Education is a high priority in Ghana, although sadly the educational resources that enable the children to gain the most from their learning are severely limited, and schools are majorly underfunded and understaffed. I have set up this page as i would like to raise as much money as possible in order to purchase some books and educational materials/resources that will really benefit the children. Also, anyone who would like to donate any books/toys would be welcome to as well and these would be greatly appreciated. Any amount that you can contribute towards this will be fantastic and will make such a difference to the education of the children.
