Cleopatra’s Volunteering Trip to Lobitos

I am excited to announce that this summer I will be a Water & Sanitation volunteer as part of the EcoSwell team! I will spend three weeks in Lobitos, Peru, combining my knowledge in civil engineering and my passion for civic engagement.

EcoSwell is an NGO based in Lobitos, whose sole aim is to closely follow the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals and provide solutions to improve the lives of the vulnerable communities of Lobitos and Piedritas, that have now been more than ever impacted by the pandemic.

As a Water & Sanitation Volunteering Intern, I will be working alongside a passionate team, focusing on providing affordable solutions to the community, and improving existing projects such as the Dry Toilet which saves up to 5,000 litres of water!

I'd love your contribution to make this trip a reality! EcoSwell provides food, housing, and transportation costs within Lobitos at a weekly rate, so for three weeks it will be a total of $1,446.00 USD which is approximately €1,220. This amount also helps fund development projects by EcoSwell as well as sponsor a family in need that has been deeply impacted by Covid-19. A roundtrip flight from Cyprus to Lima and then to Talara will cost approximately €1,500. In total, this approximates to €2,720.
