Hi,

I am a phd students, doing my study in part time.. i have a problem in doing my analysis which is dealing with high-dimensional data analysis. In phd study, i need to do some simulation on synthetic data to model and predict a high dimensional data using machine learning classifier. I did test several classifier for the data, but i took more than 8 hours to finish one loop. In my project, i need to repeat 1000 loops for a single set of simulation. In my research, i need to finish 11 classifiers on 1000 repetition simulation on synthetic data. I have try to approach UTP (Universiti Teknologi Petronas) to use their facilities on super computer, they have gave me 25 cores and 50 GbRAM, the work of simulation was smoothly done, after 2 month using it, the UTP management, ask me for money to continue to using it. I honestly did not have any money to pay the facilities. thus, they discontinue the service. Now i am using my single computer to proceed with it. It takes alot of time to finish it.

So, after i doing some research, there are a small board names asus tinker board that have 4 cores and 2GBRAM, in this project i would like to develop 50 boards in cluster, so i can manage to built a super computer with chip price.

by doing this, i am not the only beneficial of the project to finish up my phd analysis, but many graduate students who facing the same problem can also be beneficial.

Please help me to finish up my phd analysis.

Thanks,

Warm Regards,

Mohammad Nasir Abdullah
