Clean Water for Children.

We want to make clean water available worldwide! Clean water is not a commodity item available to everybody. Worldwide 25% of all deaths are caused by infections and are mainly due to contaminated water. Unfortunately these infections hit weakened children and infants. Making clean drinking water available to families and communities is an essential step in reducing premature deaths.

A small team of scientists found new and much improved ways to purify water with the aim of providing clean potable water to people in dire need. We developed the technologies to a final product that can be easily transported to where they are needed, regardless and independent of any infrastructure.

We are now in the process of launching our products and the response we had from developing economies for our mobile water purification unit (please see www.aqua-cura.co.za), especially in Africa was extremely positive. However, to move from demonstrating that we actually have products, that communities need, and raising government and NGO funds to purchase the products is time consuming. The need for clean water is NOW.

We therefore want to raise funds to donate at least four trailers to “feedachild” a registered NGO (http://www.feedachild.co.za), who are able to place our water sterilisation units where they are needed mostly. In order to be able donate them, we require €30 000 each. Any completed €30 000 will immediately trigger a donation. Any figure beyond that will go towards donating further trailers for southern Africa. We believe that we can help reducing infections from contaminated water and thus help infants and children flourish.
