Clean Teen Reads — Quality Novels for Teens

Reason for this Project

Many parents of today’s teens are concerned with the reading material available for their students. They're not sure what to trust or who to trust. Many current teen novels appear to desecrate the core family values that families are struggling to protect. They’re looking for choices that they can trust. Even teens are looking for refreshing, fun, and yet compelling, stories in their book choices.

Families – and the teens themselves – are on the search for teen and preteen novels that support their core family values. All titles authored by Norma Jean Lutz remove the guesswork. Whether in the various series, or in single-title offerings; whether in current on-the-market titles, or titles that are yet to be released, all are "Clean Teen Reads."

The popularity of Norma Jean Lutz as a beloved author is not something that will have to be developed – it is already established, and has been for several decades. A number of the titles are already available in digital and print form. More are waiting in the wings.

Everything is in place for this project to burst out of the starting gate.

My Summary of Need

During my writing career (30+ years) I’ve been privileged to have over 50 titles published under my name. Due to the nature of the publishing world in days past, most of these titles were off the shelves and out of print in a short period of time. Sad but true.

Now a new day has dawned in the world of publishing. Digital publishing has created the opportunity for my past titles to be reintroduced to a whole new generation of readers.

These novels are timeless in spite of the fact they were penned several decades ago. First published in the 80s and 90s these clean teen reads hearken back to a quieter, simpler time. All are warm, engaging (and yet adventurous) novels for teens.

Several years ago, I embarked on the time-consuming task of gaining rights reversions for the titles of my earlier releases. Next, I began a fresh, thorough edit of the manuscripts. Next I retained the services of a professional formatter to prepare the manuscripts for digital and print offerings. Following that, I commissioned new covers to be created.

Due to limitations of time and financial resources the project has moved forward very slowly. (Ready that VERY slowly.)

The foundation is firmly in place. The process is already established. I feel now is the time to call in reinforcements. Which is why this crowd-sourcing project has been launched.

Time Constraints

In addition to being a prolific novelist, I’m an extremely busy freelance writer and ghostwriter. The latter is how I make my living; and while I love writing (it’s my forte), it’s incredibly demanding. This means time (and energy) to devote to...

1. the tasks needed to bring these titles into the market

2. the tasks needed to promote and advertise so the public is aware of these teen novels…

…is extremely limited.

Funds from this project will allow me to totally and fully focus my attention to bring all of my past novels into the marketplace, promote these titles, and – more importantly – have time to author fresh new novels.
