Why am I fundraising?

Menstruation is a natural biological phenomenon that every woman undergoes. Due to poor access to and affordability of reliable products, girls in India have been adopting unhygienic practices to manage their periods which has severe health implications.

We feel access to affordable sanitary napkins is a basic right for every girl. To provide easy access to affordable sanitary pads, we are planning to install sanitary napkin vending machines in schools of West Bengal and supply them with sanitary napkins for stocking in schools.

There are many schools in urban slums of West Bengal who have the intention to install the vending machine or stock pads, but do not have the funds for the same.

We believe in the power of people coming together. Together we can make the schools of West Bengal period friendly.

What do I utilized to do with the funds?

At First We short listed some schools, We intend to install the vending machines in 50 schools and supply them with Snowy Sanitary Napkins for which we are raising $ 25,000. Once the installations is done, we shall be sharing the details with photo and videos of the same on our Facebook page.

$ 5 helps one girl for a year

$ 15 helps five girls for a year

$ 500 installs one vending machine along with hygiene awareness session for the users
