I have an interest in creating a laundromat for my community as an additional source of income. I've never owned a small business but I think a laundromat with new equipment would be a good fit in my community. There is an older laundromat in my community that is using older and outdated equipment and been in its location for nearly 40 years. I think newer technology and less water consumption would be beneficial to my community.
Startup fees for a new laundromat, may be significant. Depending on its location, choices for equipment and financing. Building costs include the value of the property and the price of remodeling: if the building was not originally a laundromat, I may need to install new water pipes, electrical outlets and sewer access to accommodate the new washing functions.
