Claudia DeWald Memorial Fund

Claudia M. DeWald of Fairfax passed away December 6, 2018, with her family by her side at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Claudia is survived by her husband, Arthur B. DeWald, and daughter, Sabrina DeWald. Claudia was a strong woman with an entrepreneurial spirit that ran wild and free throughout her life. She had a driven spirit and lived for exploring the many seas around the world. In addition to the sea, Claudia had quite the green thumb when it came to plants and nurturing them. In the coming months, she will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. The ceremony for the burial will be announced once it is determined.

Claudia suddenly passed away after having bravely fought cancer for 18 months. In lieu of flowers, please assist Arthur, her husband to relieve some of the financial strains related to her illness and funeral that he has been facing.
