Campaign Story
Ololomei Primary School has 448 pupils, all from the local Masai Community.
The pupils attend from baby class through to Grade 8. After this they attend secondary school if the family can pay for the fees. Currently each year we are funding payment to support scholarship for 2 children to attend secondary school.
The school needs another permanent classroom, as currently some of the classes can be 60 children.
Also there are 5 semi-permanent classrooms which are not ideal as they have holes in the roof and walls and mainly used for the younger children.
Children can walk up to 1.5 hours each way to school across the open plains past wild animals each day to attend school.
Ololomei Primary School has a Wildlife Warrior Programme for the Grade 7 & 8 children where they show there passion and commitment to the conservation of wildlife now and for the future.
I am looking to raise $5,000 to build a brick built classroom, and need your assistance.
