A Christ-centered Approach!

CIMEA is a conference for christian leaders in Africa, initiated by Christ For Africa University (the flagship educational program of CFAU Foundation). We strive to positively project the role of the CHURCH (christian leaders and communities) in effectively solving present-day African challenges. We bring together experts and church leaders from around the world, to network, train, collaborate with local community leaders, in a unified platform for a better Africa.

CIMEA's long term objectives include helping improve good governance in Africa by positively impacting the development of 10,000 leaders in Africa by 2030. This year, we will help build the capacities of 1000 christian leaders who would in turn be able to reach hundreds of thousands of Africans (including potential leaders) with key live changing messages.

WHY FOCUS ON GOOD GOVERNANCE?

Over 413 million (41%) Sub-Saharan Africans currently live in extreme poverty. In comparison, 18.6 million (5%) North Africans leave in extreme poverty. (World Bank publication, "Piecing Together the Poverty Puzzle", 2018). NB: Sub-Saharan Africa is predominantly Christian while Northern Africa is predominantly Muslim.

1 in 4 African adults (130 million people) paid a bribe in a public service within the past year (Transparency international, 2019)

The least corrupt institutions in Africa are religious institutions with a corruption rate of 16% . (Transparency international, 2019)

The above statistics show a clear link between the CHURCH and THE SOLUTION to Africa's problems today.

Our Approach is based on inter-denominational collaboration: Unify all denominations to collaborate and work together, irrespective of doctrines.

By impacting people (across all denominations) who have the possibility of influencing communities, we would be playing a key role in changing lifestyles and instilling values that would help communities (not denominations) out of the cycle of corruption and bad governance.

As the saying goes, real solutions come from tackling the root cause of a problem, not the symptoms. Poverty; inadequate educational facilities, bad roads, corrupt officials, are problems (visible symptoms) in the continent of paradox (with the richest resources, yet the poorest in the world).

"Good governance is the solution to Africa’s problems" - Prof. Eddy Maloka, CEO of the Afracan Union's "African Peer Review Mechanism" (APRM)

Governance is leadership. Good governance is Good Leadership. Governance is not just about systems. Effective systems are implemented overseen, and controlled by people ("Leaders"). Christian Leaders have a crucial role to play in setting Africa back on the right path. If all Mayors, Governors, Business leaders, Government officials, contractors, etc, start to effectively practice christian values in daily decision making, we would start seeing that funds allocated for education would actually be used in improving educational facilities, contracts will be awarded to the rightful qualified persons, funding for farmers would actually reach the needy farmers, funds for road constructions would be used to actually construct the roads.... the list goes on. These cumulative actions will revive and lead Africa out out of corruption, But it all starts by building a community based on integrity. There is no better way of building integrity in a community than by using Christ-based values as the foundation.

This is a cornerstone of Africa's re-awakening.

Join us and help make good governance a reality in Africa. Africa cannot be reawakened or revived without the leaders and the common people adopting Christ-based values in the implementation of daily tasks. By 2030, will impact over 10,000 (ten thousand) African community leaders using a Christ-centered approach.

Your donations will help put in place logistics for a period of one week, including extra COVID19 dispositions, to manage over 1000 leaders and potential leaders who will have the ability to further impact their communities by helping them take the necessary action to practice Christ-centered .values every single day. All online donations are received via UK Paypal: Akwanwi M. Che.

Some great strides were already made during previous editions of the conference (see attached pictures). We need your support more than ever to succeed. Learn more about Christ For Africa University and other philantropic works of CFAU Foundation:
