Christopher’s Orchestral Tour In China

Hello, everyone!

My name is Christopher Alfaro Paschal. I'm a 19-year old trombone student from Costa Rica.

I currently study at the University of Costa Rica and recently won an audition to participate with the FOOSA Philharmonic (Fresno Summer Orchestra Academy) on their upcoming China tour from December 23rd thru January 5th.

In addition to receiving master classes and from the orchestra's professional musicians, I will be playing alongside them, and receiving real-time instruction from them, in a number of concerts throughout the country.

This would be a dream come true and an invaluable opportunity at this stage in my study of the trombone. Any amount of help will be greatly appreciated, and I promise to study hard, play my heart out and represent Costa Rica in the FOOSA Philharmonic the best way possible.

Mi nombre es Christopher Alfaro Paschal. Soy un estudiante costarricense de 19 años que toca trombón.

Actualmente estudio en la Universidad de Costa Rica y recientemente gané una audición para participar en la Filarmónica de FOOSA (Academia de Orquesta de Verano de Fresno) en su próxima gira internacional a China, del 23 de Diciembre hasta el 5 de Enero.

Además de recibir clases maestras con los músicos profesionales de la Orquesta, estaré tocando al lado de ellos y recibiendo instrucciones en tiempo real de parte de ellos en varios conciertos por todo el país.

Esto sería verdaderamente un sueño vuelto realidad y una oportunidad invaluable en este punto de mi carrera y estudio del trombón. Cualquier cantidad de ayuda será enormemente apreciada, y prometo hacer mi mayor esfuerzo para tocar con todo mi corazón y representar a Costa Rica en la Filarmónica de FOOSA de la mejor manera.
