Atlantic Iowa is a town of almost 7,000 residents but nowhere for our youth to spend time. Our Focus, as we believe God is leading us, is to revive The Salt Cellar, a local Christian hangout spot that originated in the 1970's. The salt cellar will be a place open to the public, free of charge, where kids can let loose, express themselves, connect with other believers and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Salt Cellar will NOT be a church. We will be a non-denominational spot that focuses on the Love of Christ, not doctrine. We will not compete with local churches and their youth programs. The Salt Cellar will have a board of directors made up of local Christians from the community and local churches.

Our aim is to have a creative outlet for youth of school age to spend their time expressing themselves in the Lord. These activities will include but no be limited to ; Christian concerts, open mic nights for the kids, organized sports and games, coffee shop style lounge areas, bible studies and small groups, community outreach, educational mentoring, arts and crafts and more.

The Salt Cellar will be a non-profit. All funds will be used directly for building ( location) rental which will be approximately $1,000/month, utilities, supplies, and youth outreach. The Salt Cellar will be operated and organized by Christian volunteers. If at any time The Salt Cellar were to end all funds raised will be dispersed to local Charities benefiting the local youth as voted upon by the Board of trustees.

All operations and functions will be performed to Glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with no financial gain or benefit for the coordinators or volunteers.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you Mathew 6: 3-4
