For those of you who don't know us, let me explain.

My fiance and I have been together for nearly 10 years now, and have been engaged 4 years. I live in the U.S, while he lives in England. Neither of us can make the money to have the other move over so that we can be married.

Yes, we've met each other a total of four times for a minimum of 1 month at a time, but life began to throw seemingly unbeatable challenges to us, and now we're stuck without any way to increase our savings for the fiance visa, plane ticket, and marriage funds.

Why do we need $10k? The fiance visa is a long and costly process. We've done a lot of reseach on this, and the visas are said to typically run about $5,000 minimum (it will cost extra if lawyers have to get involved). Plane tickets are expensive nowadays, and for a one-way trip it will cost, if we're lucky, $1,000. Lastly, the rest of the money would go to paying off bills so that I can move to England without any debt, and the funds for us to become legally married. We don't plan to have a traditional wedding anymore, due to how much trouble we've already had with funds, so simply being recognized as a married couple will be plenty for us. Perhaps one day we'll have a real wedding.

A bit of background on the two of us, so that those of you who are thinking this is sillly thing can perhaps understand:

I, Megan Paxson, am an aspiring author, currently working at a casino as a valet attendant. I live with my mother, and pay my car note, phone bill, car insurance, and two credit card bills. After making the terrible decision to purchase a lawnmower for my mother, I put myself back into debt with a credit card and I just paid off. I wholeheartedly regret it, but there's nothing I can do now. My mother needed the new lawnmower terribly, and it was a birthday present to her (also as a thanks for letting me live with her without having to pay rent). With my full time job, and still barely able to keep up with my bills, I have no time to spare for college classes anymore. Most of my focus these days is trying to finish my writing projects so that I can have more books out in the world.

Christopher Stamp is a taxi driver, also currently living with his mother. He was once a very successful cheffing student, but the frustrations and hardships of the kitchen caused him to quit the career. Soon after, he had training to be a fully certified IT technician, gained his certifications, and could never find a job in the field. Finally, he settled for working in the taxi service, where the only money he gains is small portions fair, plus tips. Many days, he comes home with little to nothing.

Chris and I have been through rough waters lately, and though we still love each other dearly, things just aren't looking up for us. To be honest, we recently have broken up on good terms, but both agreed that if one of us can find a way to be together, then we wouldn't waste a second going through with the visa and getting married.

This is our last chance, I'm sure. We need all the help we can get. If any of you want something in return for your donations, then rather than donate, please look up my chapter book on Amazon.com and purhcase that instead. It's all I have out right now, and it's good for all ages. The book's title is "A Tidbit" by Megan G. Paxson, and it's available in both Kindle and physical form.

I apologize for advertising, but I wanted to make this worth it for everyone. I wish Chris and I could do this all ourselves, but we've been trying to for many years to no avail, and it kills us to see so much of our lives waste in struggle.

Thank you, thank you, so much for your help. And when everything is accomplished, I promise to return the favor somehow.
