The money raised on this gogetfunding page will accumulate until we reach say, $1000, and then the money raised will go to a handful of charities chosen by myself and my followers on my Facebook fan page http://www.facebook.com/ChloeMorelloBeauty. Some charities have been chosen (see below), but through discussion on the posts we can all decide where the funds will go.
The charities that are on the list so far to work with are:
-Kiva: http://www.kiva.org (this is great because the money will loaned to help grow their business, and so can be re-loaned to someone else once repaid!)
-Cambodian Childrens Fund: https://www.cambodianchildrensfund.org (still waiting to organise how this will work, its to sponsor children directly with $150 per month - check the site to see more on how that works. UPDATE: I have a meeting with an Aussie representative from this charity regarding how we can be involved - yay! Its this Friday!)
-Give & Take: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Give-and-Take/60300... (this is a local Sydney organisation that help families experiencing financial struggles. For example when a young family was about to be evicted, $2000 was raised to pay their un-paid rent and keep them in their home. We can also help in smaller ways like buying grocery gift cards, buying toys for christmas presents etc)
-Hope for Children: http://hopeforchildren.org.au/support#how-you-can-... (Helping children and communities in Cambodia! They build schools, prevent human trafficking, HIV/Aids prevention etc!)
The idea is that when we reach say; $1000, $300 can go to a micro loan to a chosen Kiva business, $300 could go to the Cambodian children fund, $300 could go to Hope for Children in Ethiopia, and $100 could go to purchasing some grocery store vouchers for struggling aussie families via Give & Take, or maybe a womens shelter... etc!
The more money we make the more of a difference we can make. I would love to travel to the places we help too, and document in a video the impact we've all made together!
So thats what we have so far... Any help is welcome!
