Chloe’s Journey Against AVM (for her Brain Surgery)

Chloe, a 5 year-old bubbly kid, had a seizure, she threw up uncontrollably and her eyes were out of focused. We rushed her to the nearest hospital (Evangelista Medical Center ). A CT scan was performed, turns out a vein in her brain popped up due to AV malformation. Doctors said she had to be transferred to an ICU. So off we went to the nearest hospital who has one (Medical Center Muntinlupa ). Specialists said they had to run another scan (CT Angiogram) to determine if an operation is required cause they found out that there's blood clot in her brain. They gave medicine so the bleeding would subside. As it turns out, the AVM is in much deeper location than where we thought it was, so the best option that we have here to completely remove the AVM is via SRS ( Stereotactic RadioSurgery is a non-surgical radiation therapy used to treat functional abnormalities and small tumors of the brain. It can deliver precisely-targeted radiation in fewer high-dose treatments than traditional therapy, which can help preserve healthy tissue ). He did not recommend embolization as it would only block the tangled vein. Success rate for this kind of procedure (SRS) is 90% and above. So far, Chloe is conscious and responsive but unable to move her left leg and left arm, she also complains pain on her neck and head. We are knocking on your kind hearts to help us ease the burden.
