Campaign Story
After the success of running 10k for Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), I have chosen to take on the Cardiff Half Marathon in October 2016 as my next challenge, raising money for Orca Research Trust!
Orca Research Trust was founded by my idol, Dr. Ingrid Visser in New Zealand with the aim to Protect Orca & their Habitat, through Conservation, Education & Scientific Research.
There are currently fewer than 200 orca (a.k.a killer whales) in New Zealand waters and Ingrid & her team work tirelessly year-round to monitor and protect these orca whales. This trust receives no funding from the government and therefore relies soley on donations from lovely people like you to keep functioning. Ingrid also campaigns against cetacean captivity and is leading a group of people who are actively trying to get a young orca released from the chains of Sea World so she can rejoin her family in the sea where she and all cetaceans belong.
If you could spare any money for my cause I would be eternally grateful! I am also going to undertake a number of challenges/events to raise money as I am hoping to raise £1,000 for Orca Research.
