Did you know that as we get older we need to ensure we keep ourselves physically active? Me and my lovely husband, we truly believe that and we try to do it every day. And you can help me to keep doing it!!! Let me explain you how.
I’m Alda, but everyone call me Aldita, I’m 77 years old and my husband Oscar is 87. We found the way to stay active as much as we can in our little house in Zapallar, Chile. My husband grows some veggies in our back yard for our personal use and I make artisan home-made cakes, passion that made me famous on my neighborhood, and allow me to delight others with my creations.
My dream is to take my passion to the next level; I want to have a space where I can do what I love. I want to make some improvements in my kitchen, buy a new refrigerator and some other utensils to keep baking cakes. My old-fashioned home-made cakes make the difference. My recipes are the ones you cannot find in any fancy bakery store or supermarket; it has that delicious touch that only your grandmother may still know. That makes my neighbors to keep looking on my recipes those memories and share them now with their kids. Because this is more than having an extra income; it’s also the pride of bringing happiness to other families, and that is an amazing feeling. Believe me, for a person my age this means a lot; is to feel useful, capable and happy…

I've been doing my best to promote my campaign but since i am still learning about social media i am still little bit lost... if you can give me some tips, suggestions or if i u think i should change something, pls let me know, and keep spreading the word about me... god bless you sweetheart..take care, ok

Dear Lisa Jane... I've been little bit sick this week and after few days in bed just 2nite i checked my campaign again and i found out about your donation... it made me so happy!! I was not expecting to see anyting new u gave me strength to continue... thanks so much i will consider your idea about a video whenever i get the chance and someone to help me...thanks once again and dont forget to spread the word about my project...

Not to worry - our crowdfunding campaign did not reach it's goal until the last two days. It is hard work, and one must keep at it and keep posting and tweeting and announcing your project. Remember there are so may campaigns out there - you have to get noticed. Most people never see all their posts on Facebook and as for tweets, less than 1% of them get noticed. I worked at our campaign 24/7 for two months! Keep at it and keep posting and tweeting! RLee Garay
