WILDFIRE IN CHILE

The 2nd of April the coast of Chile suffered two earthquakes of 7.0 and several tsunami warnings. People lost their homes and belongings. Tonight, 13th of April, the city of Viña del Mar and Valparaiso are suffering a huge wildfire killing two people, destroying 500 homes so far and evacuating 3000 residents so far. More than 500 firefighters from seven provinces, some in helicopters, are battling the fire. But the wind is hampering their efforts to create firebreaks.

The amount of money raised will go directly to the people that has lost their homes and belongings. Clothes, food, water, medicines, hospital bills etc. 

WHY HELP?

Residents of Chile with few resources have generally not insured their homes and belongings. All that has been lost during the fire, and all that have not yet been lost, are not covered by any insurance company. Therefore, they need all the help they can get.

By this Emergency Raising, all donations will be given to the people in need and organizations helping the situation. Please donate and help the  citizens of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar.
