Childrens Welfare Fund

Ann Nyaguthii (30) is a widow seeking for well-wishers support (food, cloths, housing, medical, school, etc) to help her raise her three (3) children.

Introduction

She was married to the late Ben Waheire.

They had two girls, Kimberley (11, primary class 5), Val (10, primary class 5) and a boy, Victor (8, primary class 3).

Ben was killed under mysteriously circumstances. An Assistant Chief was charged together with another person for manslaughter.

Ann is unemployed with no regular income. She got pregnant while in Primary School. She is not well schooled. She washes clothes, picks coffee and does other manual tasks when she finds them. The kids are left with their unemployed maternal grandmother. Live to Ann is living hand to mouth.

The Story

It has become very difficult to for me to assist Ann, her siblings and six grandchildren with no regular income. I am continuously being asked to help with medical costs, school fees, food (especially with the current drought), housing and clothing (uniforms and personal).

They immediately require about Ksh 56, 000 to enable them to eat (Ksh 15, 000), attend school (Ksh 9, 000), clothing (Ksh 12, 000) and sleep (Ksh 20, 000). I am looking for about two months i.e US$ 1,200 (about Ksh 125, 000) to help them get up to March 2017.

Please note: Due to the current drought there is a food crisis in Kenya. In fact, the Kenya government recently announced that it's food stocks might last only up to June 2017. This for me is an ongoing expense!

Personal Connection

Ann is my daughter. I am unemployed. I am a widower who was left with Ann and five siblings in 2000. Ann is the second born and was then only 13.

Ann’s siblings are:

  • Rose (31) who has two boys: Nesta (14, primary class 7 ) and Demian (7, primary class 1)
  • Carol (28) with one boy: Don (7, primary class 1)
  • Lee (26) did not get university placing and is currently doing on-and-off manual construction work
  • Jackie (24) dropped out at second year in a private university as I could not afford their tuition fees along with upkeep of the others
  • Kate couldn’t also join university and is also doing manual labour.

I am overcome by expenses beyond my capabilities. I would appreciate any help and support to help these children from kind-hearted donors.
