Our California based Scout Troop 8898 is doing our second Fall Fun Run pledge drive to raise funds for upcoming Troop events, campouts, and equipment! Let me say a huge THANK YOU to those of you that supported our first one in 2018, as we raised over $3,000, which has kept the troop going strong for the past two years.

California is a BIG city, and it's becoming more and more difficult (aka, more and more expensive!) to find, and get to, good campsites each month. Very few families in our troop have their own car, so we have to rent a bus to get us to and from every campout.

On April 7 all the boys in the troop will gather to run for 30 minutes (and they're already started training!). Each boy is collecting pledges from family and friends for every 400m (1/4 mile) distance he can run in 30 minutes. You can choose any amount you like ($1, $5, $10, or more!) to give for every 400m run, or you can make a single donation in the amount of your choice. Whichever way you choose, or even if you are not able to donate now, please cheer on your Scout in our upcoming Fun Run!

After the run on Nov 7 your Scout will notify you of how many laps he ran. You can then submit your donation here before April 7, 2021. The Scouts are excited to participate in this fundraiser to help make this an incredible year of Scouting in and around California! Thanks for supporting the efforts of these boys as they grow into men!
