A little story about me...

My name is Wilson, a young ambitious person who is in pursue to become an airline pilot.

I am originally from Portugal, came into the UK to further complete my education and work hard to turn my dream lifestyle into a reality.

Since a young age I was more excited about the journey itself than the destination, I would often find myself daydreaming when looking at a plane in the skies and wonder how does it feel to be the captain of that plane and have the best view in the world.

I took my initiative in learning the different types of licence and requirements to become an airline pilot. I also purchased books about aviation so I can better prepare myself for the training and exams. The best thing is learning what you really love, therefore I went further by learning how airline planes operate in depth and I can’t get enough of learning!

As a result of my commitment, I was fortunate to be employed as Technical Manager for Emirates newest aviation attraction in London. The exhibition operates four commercial aircraft simulators for the public. As a team-leader of the Simulator area I was teaching the new employees on how to become a successful simulator pilot instructor. The results of my teaching were phenomenal! Every customer would leave completely satisfied with the instructors’ customer service and knowledge.

My knowledge evidence in aviation didn’t end there. Emirates recognised my skills and true passion in aviation, that it selected me not once, but twice to appear in the arsenal YouTube videos, which combined, the videos has over 1.3 million views!

As the selected simulator pilot instructor to teach a team of world class famous football players without any rehearsal, I felt the pressure, but I was confident. See the video on the main page!

I am very proud to have been the flight instructor for the Arsenal team! It goes to show that working hard for your dreams gets your skills recognised!

The company also sent me to Dubai. There is a new simulator in Dubai mall and needed new instructors. I was sent over to teach the instructors all aviation related subject such as basic principle of flight to how the Airbus A380 operates. Again, thanks to my teaching, currently the instructors have had nothing but great feedback from the public.

BUT! I was living a dream, it was time to make it a reality, to actually make my way into a real airline plane.

I started doing flying lessons, which my instructor was surprised how quickly I picked things up. All the time flying the simulators paid off!

For a period of 6 months I also volunteered in the RAF as a Civil Instructor for the Air Training Corps (Squadron 2324). This was an amazing experience with young cadets wanting to learn the basic single prop planes and gliders.

Throughout my time learning and teaching enthusiast about airplanes has led me to build a website. My website teaches people how to become a pilot and also for airline schemes that are open that people may not have seen. Please visit my website: http://www.sponsormyflying.com

This is just another way of me sharing the knowledge and passion that I have for aviation. Hopefully if I fulfil my dream I can also share my airline experience with young people who wish to pursue their career as an airline pilot!

So whats the problem? well the biggest problem is no matter how hard you work; the airline industry hits me with a big barrier: the finance! This is what stops me from making my airline pilot dream a reality. Despite having completed a few flying hours, I have not yet been able to complete my Airline pilot training due to insufficient funds.

I would kindly like to ask for a donation and to please SHARE, everyone has dreams, help this one come true, I will forever be grateful!
