In just under a month I will be going on an adventure of a life time and ticking off something which has been at the top of my bucket list for years - volunteering in Africa!
From the 17th July I will be spending 3 weeks in Tanzania doing childcare volunteering with the organisation Plan My Gap Year (PMGY). I will be working to support centres in Arusha, organising educational activities and games as well as assisting in tasks to complement the work of local staff.
Volunteering and giving back to the community, specifically working with children, has always been a passion of mine so being able to do this in a country that needs it most whilst brightening the lives of young children and making a vital and important contribution to their daily lives will be extremely rewarding and fills me with excitement.
This experience will also be used as the residential section of my Gold Duke of Edinburgh enabling me to complete the award - another thing I've been eager to tick off.
As this is a volunteering project is will be fully funded by me. The money raised will go directly towards the programme fees and visas needed so all contributions will be truly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and thank you in advance for your donation,
