Childcare Needs for the White and Lim families

Most of you have heard the devastating news of Carrie Harkleroad White's unexpected passing Friday night.

Carrie was such a dynamic force, not only to the ones she loved, but to the community as a whole. She always put a tremendous amount of energy into all the things she cared about; and always set out to overcome any obstacle with fearless positivity.

The Harkleroad ladies always worked as a unit, and that was the grease that made their world spin with such grace. It was through the support of each other, that they persevered through any and all situations with finesse and elegance. Carrie supported her younger sister, Jennifer, in ways that others couldn't. The level of intimacy between them was undeniably beautiful and complex.

To support Jennifer and Carrie's family we are asking for monetary help for childcare so that they may sort through the necessary adjustments that come with this type of sudden and tragic loss. As many of you know one of Jennifer's sons has special needs and requires costly care. In total, there are 4 boys with very different needs. Jennifer will decide how to use this money to meet their immediate child care needs in the coming weeks. We want to make this transition for the families as seamless as possible.

We invite you, as a community of friends, to join us in taking some of the weight so the families can better adjust to their new dynamic. No amount too small or too large.
