Soooooo, here is the deal.
I am a 30 year old guy from Slovenia. A nice country in central Europe. Never heard of it? Hint: Melania. Now you know it? Perfect. So, as I've said before Slovenia is a nice country, despite of being Melania's origin : )
I am a father of 3-year old girl which is something the best that I have ever created. She's an angry little devil, yet cute. Would really like to say she's like me, but the beauty comes from her mother Nina, my second girl. I have a full time job. I actually love it, eventhough I work like all the time. I a graphic technician, quite boring job, but both of my parents are 'printers' so it was the only logic step to made for me. Yeah, this is how things roll here in Slovenia. Thaaank Goooood my mother wasn't a stripper!!
So, to continue... I AM AWARE that this funraising platform is primarily meant for charity and nonprofits. I know, because I supported quite a number of it. Small donations, but in the time the highest that I could send. But as I was scrolling through the page I saw a campaign of a girl from Croatia, who was raising funds to buy an appartment. What a great idea! Eventhough some people were later quite mean to her, and the press here said that she exploited the essential idea of funraising I still think the girl had good intentions. Is it wrong if people wants to fund something like a home? I think not. So here is my wish...
First, let me explain that both of us, me and my wife are hard working couple. She is a nurse, also working full time. In three years that we moved to our own appartment we have managed to almost outrun the loan that we have taken for it. We are very proud of this fact! But in the last 2 years some bad things happened to us, and we we're forced to start over with our lives. I won't go in details about it, in the end this is all public and my name stands right aside this text. To make things short... we managed to overcome the shit that life served us. We again stand on our own two/four/six feet. Me, my 3y girl and my other girl. As we have helped others in past, we helped ourselves. With no help from our parents or friends - they say that there is always a shoulder in life that you can find when things got serious. We are a living proof that this is not quite true :( Yet, here we are, with our own shoulders. Now I have decided to pass the help on...
I am raising funds to start a company. As I have said before I work as a graphic technician/printer for textile printing. Most of my day I print and prep the machinery for printing cheap T-shirts, caps, and other textile products that are made in Third world countries. The cheap fabric is something that you might be wearing right now in this moment. Are you aware of that? Sorry to say, but I believe you are not, just as I wasn't until I was googling for years now all about exploitation of children and women in this fashion&clothing industry. Do you even know that child slavery is the biggest problem in 3rd world countries? And that children often die doing hard work but they are replaced with a new kid on regular basis? Just like that, just like machinery. If it's broken, go get a new one. These children are the same age as my little girl, 3! Do you know who is to blame? We are. We are buying the clothes that we do not need, paying over and extra for them even when we do not know it's origin. And on the other hand, there are local people jobless because of it. I know plenty seamstresses here in my environment who can't get a job, because of the 3rd world child slavery. Yes, you have read it right. 3 years old children are taking the job away from local people. It is not them to blame, the children. It is the society! If people stop buying the cheap t-shirts which are the main item of the child slavery problem, things would get easier. The children wouldn't be needed anymore, the 3rd world countries fertility rate would go lower and the problem would be much smaller. And here, the people, the diligent people with no jobs would be able to work again because the demand of local textile products would go higher.
So the idea is to create a company with it's main activity: selling printed textile products made here in local environment and block the child slavery. I unfortunatelly can't go there and help the people down there in India for example, but for sure I can help them, the children and the local people here in Europe with starting an idea right here. For this I need funds from you people. If you are not sure if this idea suits you, just look at what you are wearing. Imagine who sewed the T-shirt, your underpants and so on... This has got to stop! We need to make it stop!
Be honest, until now you did not care who sewed your clothes! It is time for a change.
