Child Custody Legal Costs

Since the Supreme Court ruled in favor of marriage equality, Oct 2014, we have been involved in an ongoing legal batter for shared custody of our children from a previous marriage. The process has taken it's toll on our family emotionally and financially over the 7 months and it's not over yet. Given the fact my ex-wife wanted to "test the court" to see how they would rule on our legal marriage equality, we have now amassed attorney's fees in excess of $10,000. We have won shared custody of our children and now we want to raise money to cover attorney's fees then begin helping other deserving couples fund their child custody cases. Through this process we've met several people heterosexual and gay who are taking on insurmountable debt because of custody battles that will not end. We want to give back and help deserving people win the time they deserve with their children.
