I am humbly asking your kind hearts for any amount of help for our first fur baby, Chien. Two weeks ago, his right eye started to swell and looked like it will bulge out of his head. His vet just prescribed us an eye drop to reduce the swelling but no tests were done yet since the vet lacked the necessary machines needed.
The eye drop reduced the swelling on his right eye and we thought that Chien's all good then. However, we saw that he seemed lost and unaware of his surroundings. He hit the walls, furniture, and his appetite and energy significantly dropped. We then went to another vet and she tested his eyes, since we thought that he might have other issues with his eyes. Unfortunately, our fears were confirmed by the vet that Chien completely lost his vision and he might have glaucoma on both eyes..
Aside from being blind, he also started having seizures. It happens 3-4 times a day, and sometimes wakes him from his sleep. We went to another vet, with better facilities, and we were told that Chien needs to undergo a series of tests like tonometry, comprehensive blood analysis and chemistry. Aside from his blood, his other organs also need to be checked since the cause for his seizures is still unknown.
Though his vision can not be restored, we hope that you can help us bring back the energy and joy of Chien. We miss his excitement and playfulness whenever we come home, and his high-pitched bark when someone loiters outside our house.Thank you for your help and support!
