Cheshire Safari 160km Cycling Event

Splash MCR Events are organising an event in February with a £0 budget for our Event Management University Course. We are working in aid of Henshaws Beyond Expectations charity who supports people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to achieve their ambitions and go beyond expectations. They believe that everyone has the right to an independent and fulfilling life. Our support, advice and training helps people and their families build skills, develop confidence and look forward to a positive future.

Henshaws support people like Mike.

Mike was born 13 weeks prematurely with a range of conditions which led to him developing cerebral palsy and being a wheelchair user throughout his childhood. When arriving at Henshaws two years ago he was completely reliant on his wheelchair. Through working with Lee the physiotherapist at Henshaws his attitude and belief in what he could do completely changed. He can now walk supported and stand independently. Everything he’s achieved since he’s been at Henshaws has been utterly amazing to us. He went to Henshaws a boy and now he’s a young man.

Neil Pollit and his friends have kindly offered to raise money for this by doing a sponsored cycle named 'Cheshire Safari' which is a 160km bike ride to Chester Zoo. The cycle is on the 8th November 2015 and will take around 10 hours and 40 minutes.
