Everyone has either one friend, or multiple friends, during each stage of life. But, the lucky ones have the same friends that stick with them through all stages of life. Thankfully, I am one of those lucky ones.
This is my best friend, Cesmar Malino. We met when we were 3 years old. Our friendship has lasted over 2 decades now and I, along with our friends, are humbly asking for financial support with paying off his chemotherapy and hospital bills. We are fully aware that the pandemic has created such a tremendous impact on everyone and $5 or 5 pesos will come a long way in helping us create more memories with him in our futures.
Early this March on his birthday, he was involved in a motorcycle accident which broke a few bones in his body. He had to be subject to casts and external fixators for a few months. This unexpected event left a huge toll on him and his family's finances.
August came and in an unrelated, unexplained, unfortunate event. We had found out that a tumor started to grow in his lungs, filled it up with fluid which in turn resulted in him having to receive a STAT CTT(immediate chest tube thoracostomy) to drain the fluid and help him breathe. Over time, several tests were done including a biopsy to check if the tumor was cancerous. Due to the size, the tumor had begun to press on his heart, causing him to swell up and have further difficulty breathing. After discussing suggestive results of the biopsy with his doctors, they had decided that he needed to go through chemotherapy.
Chemotherapy is a rigorous, very expensive treatment and because of the injuries he endured from the motorcycle accident earlier this year along with the surgeries that resulted due to it, we are in dire need of financial help. His hospital bill is now 240,000 pesos (almost 5,000 usd) and rising. His chemotherapy drugs is estimated to be more than 40,000 pesos (roughly 825 usd) . Everyday expenses are still needed. Because of the impact of COVID-19, we are knocking on your hearts to please help us. It would mean the world to us if we can raise enough to help our friend get the treatment he needs in order for him to be able to stand up and continue our future together.
Your thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated. If you find it in your heart to donate, please do not hesitate. Here is our information:
